A supportive & uniquely informative course helping guide young people in an area of interest. The course equips students with hands on experience, knowledge and skills within a real life youth setting. The course is delivered by professional youth workers, enabling a valuable opportunity to discover and explore the professional principles, theoretical, inclusive & effective working practices and methods within the science of youth work. Through informal and non-formal learning the course supports wider knowledge, development and participation in society. The course encompasses the five pillars of youth work: Empowering, Educative, Participative, Inclusive and Expressive. The course is systematic in its approach, reflecting the structural culture, sub-cultures and socio-economical factors when delivery services, with a focus on interpersonal and psychological factors, as well as developmental trends.
